Commendations

The importance of the work of the Lindisfarne Centre is highlighted by the escalating persecution of Christians in many parts of the world, often largely unreported -  as is the dire situation in Nigeria where I have witnessed the aftermath of massacres by Islamist militia with literally thousands of Christians slaughtered, millions displaced and many who have suffered atrocities perpetrated with impunity.

I am pleased to recommend the Lindisfarne Centre for the Study of Christian Persecution; it provides both a valuable resource for practitioners and researchers alike as well as a useful resource for the protection of vulnerable religion minorities in majority Muslim States.

…they destroyed the churches and the monasteries far and wide with fire and sword, leaving nothing remaining save bare unroofed walls; and so thoroughly did they do their work that even our own present generation can seldom discover in those places any conclusive memorial of their ancient dignity, sometimes none.
